Volunteers in Police Service training is for any department that is interested in improving their volunteer program and in increasing networking with other agencies across the nation who are developing or have developed volunteer programs. 

The training covers issues of funding, sustainability, program development, recruiting, assessment of needs, and management issues. 

This training is sanctioned by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
