This course will provide a working knowledge of terrorist and criminal extremist groups and individuals, their activities and tactics, and how to recognize and report indicators of terrorism/criminal extremism.  

This course is designed to enhance preventative capabilities of street officers and improve their ability to recognize potential terrorist indicators, symbols and behaviors.  It will also improve the officers' abilities to recognize false documents, recognize and collect useful intelligence and know when and to whom suspicious information should be reported. 

This course covers officer safety issues when dealing with suspected terrorists.
