This course will assist students, teachers, administrators, parents and public safety officials in developing partnership skills and problem solving techniques that are necessary and effective in preventing school violence.

Upon completion of this course, participants will understand the nature of violence as a process, not an event, and will be able to recognize warning signs of potentially violent youth.

Participants also will learn strategies for prevention of school violence, including how to create an ongoing process for evaluating potential hazards and how to develop and sustain a school safety plan.
