Active Coalition To Inform Our Neighborhood (ACTION) brings together police officers with members of the community in order to make a difference for neighborhood youth.

Through this course, participants learn the dynamics of gangs as well as ways to identify signs of gang presence in the neighborhood.

Participants will become familiar with the criteria that define gangs, the historical significance of gangs, and profiles of specific gangs and potential gang members. They will learn to identify prevention strategies and apply the SARA (scanning, analysis, response, assessment) problem solving model to gang activity in the neighborhoods and schools.
