Designed for supervisors and middle managers of organizations, this module assists participants in using their previous knowledge of the SARA (scanning, analysis, response, assessment) model to direct their departments in utilizing successful problem solving techinques. 

Interactive role playing and vibrant discussion are basic to this course.  The mechanics and challenges of problem solving are highlighted for the supervisor in the context of Problem Oriented Policing. 

The course will assist supervisors in selecting a leadership style and diagnosing their officers' levels of readiness in problem solving.  Supervisors will be prepared to set expectations for officers' behavior at every stage of the SARA model.
