Module # 3 Problem Solving

Through this interactive session, participants are given the opportunity to learn and practice problem solving by using the SARA (scanning, analysis, response, assessment) model. 

The course is designed to acquaint participants with the importance of using proven problem solving techniques in Community Policing.  Upon successful completion, participants will be able to complete the four stages of the problem solving process, having practiced the individual steps in each stage.  They will be skilled in explaining the problem solving process to others in the community and using problem solving as an effective tool in interacting with others in the community. 

The course also includes instruction on communication skills required for problem solving, skills for effective leadership, and ways to share the creativity and initiative demonstrated by others.  An interactive CD is available for this module. 

 Pre-requisite recommendation: Modules #1 and #2.
