Module # 2 Forming Effective Partnerships

This course is designed to help participants understand the importance of cooperation and partnerships between members of the police force and members of the community.

Topics include identifying community partners, developing the community's demographic survey, partnering with the media, and organizing successful community meetings.

Upon completion of this module, participants will be familiar with the "big six" partners in Community Policing. They will know the five major components of a community profile and the six most valuable statistics gained from a community profile. They will know how to construct an effective community survey and will be exposed to the concept of "brainstorming."
